Bad Fat vs. Good Fat
12.03.09
Fats are not at all bad for the body. There are actually some essential fats that are required in our daily needs. Sadly the most fats that we take in are not good thus decreasing your weight management system and leads you to gaining weight.
Fat itself has created a stigma among consumers; some sometimes jumps off from buying food that has fats in it; and lo, the birth of low-fat and non-fat products. These come conveniently by converting high-fat foods like dairy products to these supposedly healthy choices for losing weight.
So how will you set the line between bad fat and good fat? Well, here are some points to know about these things:
Beware of the bad fats that come with different names like: saturated and transfats. Saturated fat usually comes from animal by-products which are natural in a sense but entirely bad for your body. Most especially if you want to lose weight. On the other hand, transfats is as bad as the saturated one, apart from the fact that it is something that man created which basically has many margarine and shortenings in it; these are usually used in frying food. Both saturated and transfats are equally bad for your body, and the most unfortunate is that these are usually the ones that are easily found in the supermarket shelves.
If there are bad fats there are also good fats. These fats are important to keep you going, to help you make use of your brains and your system in its entirety. These come with names like Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9. You can find these essential fats in tuna dishes, for dieters and for people who are into weight management; fish is something that is very common and not difficult to get by.
On the onset, fats are not at all bad. So beware in buying those non-fat products or you’ll end up fat deficient. In order to have a full control with your weight management, you should therefore learn the essentials in your body; losing weight should not be far behind.
