Tip No. 1: Drink plenty of water
Do not go thirsty. Drink a glass of water a cup of fruit-infused herbal tea before eating your favorite meal. You might realize you are only thirsty than hungry. Most of the time, thirst is confused with hunger. So if you are only thirsty but you thought you are hungry you end up eating more than you really need and this means taking extra calories.
Tip No. 2: Watch out for nighttime food cravings
It is when you try to sit down, relax and watch your favorite soap on TV that you think of munching mindlessly a pack of potato chips. This throws away your “lose weight” plans. If it’s really hard to manage, try closing down your kitchen after dinner or prepare low-calorie snacks like cookies or stack your cupboard with healthy convenient food such as whole grain pasta, pre-cooked grilled chicken breast, whole grain tortillas or pitas, and bags of salad greens. This way you do not deprive yourself from enjoying your TV show and saves you from going to drive-through, hence, sticking to your weight management plan.
Tip No. 3: take what you can enjoy
Don not super size your meal. The best way is not to make readily available those high-calorie foods in your kitchen. When you go shopping, instead of buying yourself bags of chips and cookies why not take home with you few pieces. Enjoy your favorite food in moderation. With this, you get to eat fewer calories you need to burn, you will lose weight fast.
Tip No. 4: eat protein
Eat foods that encourage burning of fats like protein. Eating protein like lean meat, cheese, nuts in every meal will easily satisfy you. If you are easily satisfied then you will not find yourself eating more than what your body needs.
Tip No. 5: Spice it up.
Enjoy simple foods by adding spices to boost their flavor. If you do this you will be easily filled up and not end up eating much.
